CARIBOU – Joseph Corbin 74, died Jan. 25, 2005, at Caribou. He was born July 22, 1930, in Fort Kent, the son of Frank and Rose (Saucier) Corbin. Mr. Corbin served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a self-employed painter for many years. He is survived by two sons Joseph Corbin of Caribou and Steve Corbin of Texas; one daughter, Rena Gibbons of Arizona; one brother, Stephen Corbin of Florida; five sisters, Jeanette Gagnon of Caribou, Rena Mae Emond of Connecticut, Marilyn Smith and Rona Coe, both of Texas and Katherine Clark of Tennessee; five grandchildren; and two very special great-granddaughters, Corrin Howlett and Crissy Corbin. Mr. Corbin will also be remembered by two special friends, Matt Haney and Terry Winger; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a special granddaughter, Wendy (Corbin) Howlett; and three brothers, Wilford, Emery and Norman. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, until time of services which will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. David Raymond, officiating. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
