FORT KENT – Clinton Bernier, 55, died Jan. 25, 2005, in Fort Kent. He was born in Fort Kent, July 10, 1949, the son of Camille Sr. and Alvine (Voisine) Bernier. Clinton loved spending time with his children, family and his dog, Lincoln, whom he absolutely adored. One of his favorite pastimes was collecting die cast farming equipment. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Following his military career he lived in Long Island, N.Y., where he was self-employed as a framing contractor for 30 years, where he developed a lifelong friendship with the construction community. His work was his passion. He is survived by his two children, Christopher Bernier of East Hampton, N.Y. and Elizabeth Saucier and her husband, Christopher of Cheyenne, Wyo.; mother, Alvine Bernier of Fort Kent; fianc?e, Janice Burke of Norwich, Conn. and her daughter, Jennifer Burke of Middleboro, Mass.; three brothers, Camille Jr. and his wife, Beatrice of Frenchville, Ronald and his wife, Noella of Plainville, Conn., Kevin and his companion, Dawn Dumond, both of Fort Kent; three sisters, Rachel and her husband, Milton Pelletier of Arandal, Conn., Rona and her husband, Clarence Daigle of Bristol, Conn., Janice and her husband, Maurelle Saucier of Fort Kent; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Camille Sr. in 1996. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be held May 18, 2005, in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in his memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105; or to the Hospice of Aroostook, P.O.
