PITTSFIELD – Madeline E. Cianchette, 91, passed away Jan. 25, 2005, at Morse Manor in Old Town. She was born June 13, 1913, in Enfield, the daughter of Isaac and Edith (Emery) Brawn. She graduated from Nasson Institute in Maine with a degree in Home Economics. She married Frank Cianchette on Oct. 16, 1936, he died in 1979. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was an artist who enjoyed doing paintings and she was a pet lover who loved her cat, “Mittens”. She is survived by one sister, Melva Grindle and her husband, Donald, of Bucksport, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Briggs and Irene Ferris; four brothers, Lawrence Chandler, Langdon Brawn, Everett Chandler, and Ivan Brawn. There will be a graveside service in the spring at Village Cemetery in Pittsfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield, Maine 04967.
