BELGRADE – Joseph Earl Clewley, 25, resident of McGrath Pond Road, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, after a purposeful and courageous loving life. Joe passed with dignity and love for the Lord, at home with his family by his side. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown.” II Timothy 4:7-8. He was born Jan. 16, 1982, in San Jose, Calif., the son of Timothy L. and Vicki E. (Booker) Clewley. He graduated from Lawrence High School, Fairfield. He was employed by Camp Matoaka, Smithfield, in the past years as a computer technician. He enjoyed playing his guitar with friends and family, deer hunting with his dad, brother and family. He also enjoyed his Thursday night foosball outings. He loved spending time with his wife and children, and had a very special way with them. He cherished travels and time with his family. He was a motorcycle, car and plane enthusiast. He was a member of the Brooks Pentecostal Church family. He is survived by his loving, devoted and honored wife, Rebecca “Becky” L. (Kitchin) Clewley; his daughters, Kaytlynn, 7 years old, and Natalie Clewley and son, Zachary J. Clewley, 8 months; his parents; his loving sister, Jennifer Solis and husband, Chuy; and his devoted brother, Michael T. Clewley and his wife, Hillary. He is also survived by grandparents, Ted and Phyllis Clewley and Nathan Booker as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, Becky’s family; his dear friend, Hank and many other friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Bonnie Grant; and stepgrandmother, Eloise Booker. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Brooks Pentecostal Church, 178 Monroe Highway, Brooks, with the Rev. Matt Shaw officiating. Friends are invited to attend a gathering in Joe’s memory immediately after the service at the church hall. Interment will be private. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a trust fund for the children, care of Rebecca Clewley, 451 McGrath Pond Road, Belgrade, ME 04917. Arrangements are entrusted to Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield.
