ARGYLE – Joseph H. “Beau” Ouellette, 72, passed away quietly, April 28, 2004, at home, surrounded by his family and his cats. He was born Jan. 6, 1932, in Orono, the son of Elzar and Laura (Chase) Ouellette. Joe served in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 75 in Old Town and Post 84 of Orono as well as the Orono Knights of Columbus. He worked as a meat cutter until his retirement. He loved hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his family and his cats, Miss Lucky, Snowball and Fluffy. Joe is survived by four sisters, Pricilla Bouchard and her husband, Blondie, and Lucille Brow and her husband, Charlie, all of Old Town, Rose Dubay and her husband, Adrienne, of Milford and Delores Harvey and her husband, Bruce, of Hampden; a brother, Edward “Jr.” Ouellette and his wife, Marilyn, of Ellsworth; four children, Joseph Ouellette and his wife, Laurie, of LaGrange, Kimberly Ouellette and her fianc_, Bill Ferrante, of Biddeford, Marie Eddy and her husband, Mark, of Orono and Ethel Sabol and her husband, Ray, of Argyle; grandchildren, Lindsay, Joshua, Chad, Jody, Carrie, Cassandra, Renee and Travis; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Tyler, Caleb, Seth, Katelynn, Tristan and Tyler; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Betty Ann (Clement) Ouellette; two brothers, Roland and Ferdinand “Kiddou” Ouellette; and a sister Theresa (Ouellette) Myers. He was also predeceased by a much-loved companion of 16 years, Mary Jane Haynes. There will be a funeral service 5 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2004, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln with the Rev. Normand Richard officiating.
