SANGERVILLE, Joseph M. Pullyard Sr., 86, died Aug. 8, 2005, at his home in Sangerville. He was born Feb. 13, 1919, in Sangerville, the son of Alfred Clukey and Eva Pullyard. Joe served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippines. After the war he worked for Guilford Industries for many years. He was a member of the Stott-Flanders American Legion Post in Sangerville, and was an avid Yankees fan. He is survived by a son, Charles and his wife, Louise Pullyard, of Canada; two grandsons, Boyd and Todd; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Pullyard of Sangerville. He will also be missed by many friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Inez (Simmons) Pullyard and a son, Joseph Pullyard Jr. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating. Family and friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Village Cemetery in Sangerville, with military honors.
