CORINTH – Joseph P. Campbell, 68, husband of the late Jude (Johnson) Campbell, died unexpectedly July 28, 2006, at his residence. He was born March 19, 1938, in New Haven, Conn., the son of Peter and Mary (Leonard) Campbell. He had worked as a self employed tractor trailer operator. He is survived by four sons, Joseph R. Campbell Jr. of Kent, Conn., Michael and Kevin Johnson of New Milford, Conn. and Lawrence Johnson and his wife, Kimberly, of Canaan; five sisters, Barbara Lefter of California, Carol Spano and her husband, Robert, of New Hampshire, Patty Francis and her husband, Robert, of Connecticut, Maureen Nuzzello and her husband, Anthony, of Connecticut and Kathy Campbell of Connecticut; a brother, James Campbell of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Amanda and Alyssa Campbell and Tiffany, Michael and Christopher Johnson. Joseph was predeceased by his daughter, Kristy J. Campbell. A memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 754 Ohio St., Bangor, with the Rev. Tom Farley celebrant. Burial will be at the Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth. Arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Rd., Corinth.
