LINCOLN – Barbara Farrington Perry, 92, wife of the late Fay Perry, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, July 30, 2006, at a Howland healthcare facility, to meet her Lord and Savior in heaven. She had been cared for at home until recent weeks by members of her family. She was born March 22, 1914, in Medway, one of 12 children of Stephen and Annie (Hathaway) Farrington. Mrs. Perry was a farmer’s wife and a very hard worker. She and her family lived off the land. She grew many vegetables, sharing them with everyone. She also maintained a butter and egg route. She was a member of the Lincoln Center Grange and a 4-H Club leader. In recent years she attended Chester Baptist Church. In 1964, she won a new Ford sedan from Sampson’s Supermarket’s grand opening. Part of her legacy was driving children to Sunday school. She is survived by seven children, Rolland and his special friend, Lillian, Harley and his wife, Earlene, Mary and her husband, Norman Rose, Carleton and his wife, Linda, Nellie and her husband, Robert Dwelley, Lyndon and his fiance, Debi, Nancy and her husband Henry Suitter; a brother, Jasper Farrington; many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, and noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Perry and Bill Chesley officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Center Cemetery.
