BREWER – Josephine A. Viricel, 96, died Sept. 28, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare center. She was born March 18, 1909, in Brewer, the daughter of John M. and Sophie P. (Patrie) Viricel. Josephine was a lifelong resident of South Brewer, attended Brewer schools and was a dedicated homemaker to her family. Also a lifelong communicant of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Brewer, she was active in church life including her membership in St. Teresa’s Sodality. Josephine had recently resided at Phillips-Strickland House, Bangor where she had made many friends. Surviving are two nieces, Andrea J. Dill of Brewer and Judith Hochmuth of Portland; several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Henry, Louis, Peter and Joseph Viricel; and her sisters, Fleurice Willett, Mary Willett and Elizabeth “Betty” Viricel. Friends may visit 3-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Brewer with the Rev. Rudolph J. Leveille, celebrant.
