MADAWASKA – Josephine Cyr, 85, died Feb. 17, 2004, at a Madawaska nursing home. She was born May 30, 1918, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Frank Michaud and Donetile Lizotte. She is survived by three sons, Roland Cyr of Plymouth, Conn., Lionel Cyr and Robert Cyr, both of Madawaska; four daughters, Lorraine Barfield, Angela St. Jarre and Jackie Ferral, all of Madawaska, Helena Pelletier of Meriden, Conn.; one sister, Blanche Cote of Biddeford; two half sisters, Verna Morin of St. David, Cecile Michaud of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donat Cyr and by one daughter, Joan Geraghty. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
