JOYCE A. (BURTCHELL) MILLINGTON BANGOR and FORT FAIRFIELD – Mrs. Joyce A. (Burtchell) Millington, wife of the late Jack J. Millington, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at a Bangor nursing facility following a long illness. She was born May 12, 1928, at Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Reuben and Myrtle (Berry) Burtchell. She attended Fort Fairfield schools and was married to Jack J. Millington on May 12, 1951. Mrs. Millington lived in Fort Fairfield and Connecticut throughout her life and was employed by Community General Hospital, Fort Fairfield, and Cary Medical Center, Caribou for several years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband on Aug. 19, 2003. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Andrea L. and Allison Todd of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Lucille McLaughlin of Brockton, Mass.; two granddaughters, Kelly Bubar and her husband, Joe, of Fort Fairfield, Sharon Fields and her husband, Lee Scott III, of Plainfield, Conn.; two great-grandchildren, Noah Reuben Fields of Plainfield, Conn., Logan Allison Bubar of Fort Fairfield; a sister-in-law, Kay (Millington) Chamberlain of Meriden, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. A graveside committal service will be conducted at the Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating later in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of the Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
