PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Joyce Linda Davis, 80, died Saturday evening, Feb. 28, 2004, at the Mark Wentworth Home of Portsmouth, N.H., after a long period of failing health. She was born Dec. 16, 1923, in Greenville, the daughter of Arthur and Cora Monroe) Shufelt. She was the wife of the late William B. Davis Jr., who died Aug. 30, 2003, and was a life-long resident of the Greenville and Dover-Foxcroft area. She was a graduate of Greenville High School, Class of 1942. Joyce worked with her husband in their store, W.B. Davis Jeweler. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge and Junior Cosmopolitan. She was an avid golfer and past member of the Foxcroft Golf Club. Private graveside services will be held later in the spring at the Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
