BREWER – Joyce E. Leeman, 74, died May 8, 2005, at her Brewer home. She was born Oct. 16, 1930, in Bangor, the daughter of Sumner and Julia (Clark) Pinkham. She was a member of the JC wives and did extensive volunteer work at the YWCA. Joyce enjoyed her family camps and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Leeman of Brewer; her son, Robert Leeman Jr. of Branch Lake; her daughter, Susan Leeman Cheever of Brewer; one brother, Sumner Pinkham Jr. of Glenburn; her sister, Ruth Caruso of Bangor; nine grandchildren, Ashley Cheever Benedict, Bryan Cheever, Courtney Cheever, Adam Cheever, Lindsay Murphy, Maggie Sullivan, Hillary Leeman, Heather Leeman, Hannah Leeman; two great-grandchildren, Rylan and Caden Benedict. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
