DANFORTH – Janice Lucille (Springer) Golding, 83, wife of the late Orville Leroy Golding, died May 9, 2005, at a Houlton hospital. She was born Jan. 1, 1922, in Danforth, the daughter of Samuel Delmar and Mary Eleanor Mae “Bird” (Littlefield) Springer. She was a member of the Grange, the Ladies Auxiliary, the Extension, the Methodist Womens Group, the Danforth Alumni Association and the Danforth Methodist Church. She is survived by six children, James H. Golding and Patricia Zaneldin of Danforth, George W. Kinney of Neptune, N.J., John Robert Kinney and his wife, Joyce, of Danforth, Richard E. Spinney and Kathy Eifler of Florida, Janice Stinson and her husband, James, of Florida, and Constance L. Swasey and her husband, Douglas, of Westbrook; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth, where a Grange service will be held 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Danforth Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Root officiating. A committal service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Danforth Cemetery.
