ISLAND FALLS – Joyce M. (Oiler) Copeland, 64, died April 27, 2006, at Bangor. She was born Dec. 25, 1941, in Island Falls, the daughter of Victor and Ruth (Rafford) Willette. She was the secretary for the Town of Island Falls for 16 years and was very active in the AGAPE Food Pantry and was a CNA. She enjoyed helping her husband with many Shrine functions and volunteered in many other community functions. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Donald Copeland of Island Falls; two children, Marcy and her husband, Scott Breton, of Island Falls and Kenneth Oiler of Greenbush; two grandchildren, Lucas Landry and Mandi and her husband, David Noyes Jr.; one very special great-grandson, Dawson Archer Noyes; five brothers and one sister, Raymond and his wife, Gloria Willette of Meriden, Conn., Ronald and his wife, Linda Willette, of Newville, Pa.; Rodney and his wife, Betty Willette, of Island Falls, Linda and her husband, Rick Lyons, of Patten, Harold Willette of Island Falls and Richard and his wife, Cindy Willette, of Enterprise, Ala.; one sister-in-law, Andrea of Decatur, Ill.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Charles Oiler; one daughter, Bonnie; and one brother, James. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Whittier Congregational Church, Island Falls with the Rev. Michael Kasevich Officiating. Interment will be in the Island Falls Cemetery. Donations may be made to the AGAPE Food Pantry or to the Island Falls Library.
