DANFORTH – Joyce Marie Allen, 67, died Oct. 22, 2004, at a Houlton hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1937, in Orient, the daughter of Guy L. and Vallie L. (Faulkner) Allen. Joyce worked as a waitress. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by three brothers, Elwood Allen of Danforth, Gerald Allen and his wife, Jackie, of Danforth, and Kenny Carr of Calais; a sister, Reta Allen of Danforth; three nephews and their wives, seven great-nephews, two great-nieces, one brother-in-law and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Carolyn A. Ellingwood. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at the Danforth Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Root and Pastor Bruce McEwen officiating. A gathering will be held at the Weston Grange Hall after the service.
