PATTEN and SEARSMONT – Joyce Mehuren died April 12, 2007, at her home. She was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Benjamin and Marion (Innis) Edgecomb. She was a member of the Patten Women’s Club. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Mehuren of Patten and Sears-mont; two children, James Sr. and his wife, Joy Mehuren, and Jerry and Renee Mehuren, both of Searsmont; four grandchildren, James Jr., Joanna, Kristine and Kelsey; three brothers, Charles and his wife, Sandra Edgecomb, of Liberty, Benjamin “Bunk” and his wife, Nancy Edgecomb, of Searsmont and Dale and his wife, Marie Edgecomb, of Appleton; three sisters, Laura Weeks and her friend, Jack Smith, of Chelsea, Paula and her husband, Charles Adams, and Priscilla and her husband, Dennis Cash, all of Liberty; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by three children, Jeffrey, Joanne and John Jr.; one bother, Robert Edgecomb. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Bowers Funeral Home, 56 Sherman St., Island Falls and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Michelle Grube officiating. Spring interment will be at Ring Grove Cemetery. A reception will be immediately after at the Masonic Hall, Liberty.
