FORT KENT – Joyime Deschaine, 83, beloved husband of Rinette (Dionne) Deschaine, died March 11, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 13, 1922, in Fort Kent, the son of Philip and Eunice (Jandreau) Deschaine. He was a potato farmer most of his life in Fort Kent. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council 0352 of Fort Kent and member of the RSVP. Joyime and his wife raised six daughters and three sons along with raising many foster children for over 40 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rinette of Fort Kent; his children, Mary Jane Dubois and her husband, Tom, of Millinocket, Janice Dionne and her husband, Charles, of Clair, N.B., Canada, Jean Alice Bouchard and her husband, Joel, of Connors, N.B., Canada, Mike Deschaine and his wife, Coinne, favorite daughter-in-law, of Fort Kent, Myra Raymond and her husband, Bert, of Fort Kent, Marie Deschaine and her husband, Pat, Elaine Labbe and her husband, Ricky, of Wallagrass, Mattheu Harper of Fort Kent and Adam Harper of Portland; two brothers, Arnold Deschaine of Millinocket and Chester Deschaine of Chicopee, Mass.; three sisters, Mabelline Hebert of Plainville, Conn., Nora Bouchard of Kentucky and Altine Albert of Southington, Conn.; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Joseph Deschaine; two brothers, Alphonse and Donald Deschaine; and two sisters, Jeanne LeClair and Sylvia Charette. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of service, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial with full 4th degree honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the St Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be May 11, in the parish cemetery.
