FORT KENT – J.R. Boucher, 24, died unexpectedly July 7, 2007, due to an automobile accident. He was born Aug. 24, 1982, in Fort Kent, the son of Russell and Vicky (Nadeau) Boucher. J.R. was a treasure to his family and friends. His exceptional kindness and generosity endeared him to all who knew him. His compassion and love for people showed through his words and actions. His lighthearted nature and easy smile drew people close to him. Children loved J.R. and he loved them, always willing to play a game, throw a ball or substitute as a jungle gym. J.R. loved the outdoors and appreciated the beauty in nature and in the simple things. He graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science in environmental science, and had a passion for the Red Sox, Led Zeppelin and his wife and best friend, Jackie. While he was often the life of the party, he also enjoyed quiet evenings at home with a glass of wine and a good steak with his family. J.R. had so much love to share, smiles to give and many, many hugs to go around. It has been a blessing to have J.R. with us for 24 wonderful years. We could not have asked for a better husband, son, big brother, nephew, grandson, cousin and friend. We will forever cherish the precious moments that we have shared with J.R. May he always smile upon us as he rests in the loving arms of God. He will always be remembered lovingly and held close to our hearts. In addition to both his parents of Fort Kent, J.R. is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie (Masse) Boucher of Fort Kent; his sister, McKenzie Boucher of Fort Kent; grandparents, Valeric “Gag” and Evelyn “Becky” Nadeau of St. Francis, Doris Boucher of Fort Kent; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Linda Masse of New Canada; two sisters-in-Law, Michelle and her husband, Ryan Pepin, of Harwinton, Conn., and Jessica and her husband, John Hafford, of Millinocket; one brother-in-law, Justin Masse of Redondo Beach, Calif.; grandmother-in-law, Alida Masse of Unionville, Conn., and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
