BANGOR – Judith (Higgins) Murphy, 61, died unexpectedly July 30, 2006, at her residence. She was born July 15, 1945, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Ambrose and Eleanor (Devine) Higgins. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Sauer and her husband, Jeffrey, and a grandson, Colby, all of St. Louis; a son, Christopher Murphy and his wife, Toni, of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Sally Curtis of Tichborne, England; nieces and nephews, Timothy, Edward and Katherine Curtis. A memorial reception will be celebrated 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor.
