SCARLET’S MILL, Pa. – Judy l. (Harris) Keating, 44, of Scarlet’s Mill, Pa., formerly of New Sharon, died April 29, 2006, at her home. She was born July 12, 1961, in Farmington, the daughter of the late Ansel L. Harris and Betty J. (Brackett) Harris of New Sharon. For many years Judy worked as a customer service manager at Arrow International in Reading, Pa. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed her career as well as her active involvement in the United Way. Her vast knowledge of arts and crafts resulted in several unique creations, many of which were featured in various gift shops and craft shows in Maine and Pennsylvania. She was an avid reader who enjoyed spending time with her cat, Harry and taking long walks with her beloved Labrador retriever, Mickey. Besides her mother, Judy is survived by her husband, Edward; and son, Joshua; by her sisters, Mrs. Wesley (Susan) Stacy of Parsonsfield, Mrs. William (Patricia) Chute of New Sharon; nephews, Alan Chute and wife, Sandra, of Reading, Pa., Peter Stacy and partner, Cindy McGeehan, of Baldwin and Corey Chute of Dixfield; niece, Allison Stacy and partner, Jamie Fenderson, of Porter; great-nephew, Tucker Chute; and great-niece, Charlee-Ann Fenderson; several cousins, extended family members and many close friends. Friends may call 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at New Sharon United Methodist Church, Starks Road, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Karen Garcia officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Sharon United Methodist Church, 177 Weeks Mills Rd., care of Cindy Pratt, New Sharon, ME 04955.
