DEXTER and CORINNA Julia A. Roberts, 85, died Nov. 15, 2006, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born May 26, 1921, in Dexter, a daughter of Joseph and Eva (Sanborn) Atwater. Julia graduated from New Hampshire Fay High School, Class of 1939. She was employed at several Dexter stores and Dexter Shoe Co., until she retired in 1967. She taught Sunday school at Dexter United Methodist Church, was a 4-H leader and was a charter member of the Dexter Jay-C’etts. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Omar W. Roberts Sr.; her parents, six sisters and seven brothers. She is survived by a daughter and husband, Barbara J. and Anthony Welch of Burke, Va.; a son, Omar Roberts Jr. and his fianc?e of Corinna; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with Pastor Lois Field officiating.
