MOUNT DESERT – Julia Lorena Allen, 93, died Nov. 28, 2004, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born May 26, 1911, in Mount Desert, the daughter of Ezra Galvenus and Myra Emma (Reed) Richardson. She was a member of the Somesville Sewing Circle. Lorena is survived by two sisters, Lena Richardson of Mount Desert and G. Winnifred Gaspar of Ipswich, Mass. She was predeceased by her husband, Dwight J. Allen in 1979. Graveside memorial services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Brookside Cemetery, Mount Desert, with the Rev. Victor Stanley officiating. Contributions in Lorena’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert.
