BREWER and PHOENIX, Ariz. – Julie A. (McHale) Taylor, 50, died Feb. 9, 2006, in Phoenix, Ariz. after a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 22, 1955, in Bangor, to Theresa (Quirion) Meehan and George McHale. Julie was a member of the Maine State Nurses Association, The Maine Association of Quality Assurance Professionals, The National Association for Healthcare Quality and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and was certified by the Healthcare Quality Certification Board. She was a graduate of the Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, Phoenix Community College and Gateway College in Phoenix, Ariz. She had worked locally at St. Joseph’s Hospital, EMMC and Acadia Hospital. Julie is survived by one son, Michael of Phoenix, Ariz.; her father, George McHale and his wife, Jeannie, of Orrington; two sisters, Sandra Ouellette of Apache Junction, Ariz., Michelle Bush and her husband, Bob, of Brewer; one brother, Rick McHale and his wife, Tracey, of Bucksport. She will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews, Jeff and Jeremy Furrow, Katie (Wilson), Ricky and Chris McHale, Christy, Tim and Andy Bush. Julie will be fondly remembered by her stepbrothers and stepsisters, Bruce, Scott, Robert, Julee and Rebecca. She is predeceased by her mother, Theresa Meehan and a niece, Erika Furrow. A visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer where a memorial service for family and friends will be held 1 p.m., with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor in the spring.
