PRESQUE ISLE – June A. Boyce, 85, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at a Mars Hill health care facility. She was born June 25, 1922, in Castle Hill, the daughter of Berton and Eva (Alley) Randall. June was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the RSVP, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary VFW of Ashland. June loved her Lord and has now gone on to be with him. May she rest in peace until we meet again. She is survived by four sisters, Abbie Bonner of Ashland, Florence Kinney of Bridgewater, Alteen LaValley and Eva Berry, both of Presque Isle; a foster son, Joseph Vincent Melena and his wife, Dorothy, of Masardis; grandchildren, Cheri Melena of Lyman, S.C., Ronald Melena of Moses Lake, Wash., Travis Melena of Bangor and Thomas Melena of Masardis; two sisters-in-law, Frances Randall of Etna and Kathy Randall of Gary, Pa.; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Boyce Jr.; four brothers, George, Eugene, Forest and Sheldon Randall; and a sister, Lula Lovely. She was loved by all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service. Interment will take place after the service at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.
