WATERVILLE – June R. Caron, 71, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born April 14, 1935, in Waterville, the daughter of Romeo and Alice Landry. She was educated in Waterville schools and graduated from Waterville High School. June had a great love of the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and camping. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Romeo Butch Landry; and two sisters, Joanne Landry and Annette Landry. Surviving are her companion, Norman Eldridge of Waterville; three children, Michelle Hughes and her husband, Herb, of Epping, N.H., Keith Caron and his wife, Joanne-Rose, of Fairfield and Denise Bateman and her husband, Richard, of Windham; six grandchildren, Logan, Colby, Christopher, Spencer, Michelle and Mallory; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, April 16, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Silver Street, Waterville. Spring interment will take place at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville. In lieu of flowers, donations in June’s memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Maine Affiliate, P.O. Box 1626, Bangor, ME 04402-1626.
