LAKELAND, Fla. – Kacee Janel Hanscom, 18, died June 13, 2007, from an auto accident. She was born July 31, 1988, in Lakeland, Fla. She graduated from Lake Gibson High School in 2006, with high honors. She was No. 23 in her class. She attended Hillsborough Community College, where she maintained a 4.0 G.P.A. She was a bartender at Lone Star Saloon, Lakeland, Fla. She enjoyed working out, dancing, playing music, surfing and sun bathing. She is survived by her parents, Lana and Stuart Hanscom; little sister, Emilee Hanscom; maternal grandfather, Austin Shock of Lakeland, Fla.; half sister, Jessica Hanscom of Madrias; paternal grandparents, Donald and Helen Hanscom of Lee; uncle, Steve and aunt, Judy Hanscom of Lee; cousins, Melissa and Erica Hanscom; second cousin, Evan Montgomery all from Bangor; great-aunt, Barb Shock of Nokomis, Fla.; great-aunt, Peggy and great-uncle, Nick of Baltimore; and her beloved boyfriend, Adam McCumber. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Oak Hill Burial Park. Friends and family will gather 9:30 a.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, Fla. The family will receive friends at the Lone Star Saloon, Highway 98 North, Lakeland, Fla., immediately after the service.
