CORINNA and BANGOR Karen Anne Rae, 55, went to be with Christ July 8, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 24, 1952, in Newport, R.I., the daughter of Edward and Bell (Perry) Venancio. Karen was a pastoral advisor at Manna Ministries since 1991 and her life impacted everyone she met. She was incredibly gifted at sifting out the unimportant and seeing people for who they are. She believed everyone was valuable and should be treated as such. Her compassion for anyone, regardless of their status or circumstances, was evident in her daily life. Karen always had time to listen and to connect with people and her ministry to women through Manna Ministries. Karen was a great help to women of all walks of life. She was a true champion of families in crisis. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, William “Bill” Rae of Corinna; two sons, John and Mark of Bangor; three grandchildren, Katelynn, Brooklynn and Connor; always her daughter-in-law, Amanda; her girl friend, April; and many other dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers. A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Abundant Life Church, 1404 Broadway, Bangor, with Bill Rae officiating. Karen’s heart was relationships.
