COLUMBIA – Karl Goodkowsky, 74, died unexpectedly Nov. 24, 2004, at his residence. He was born July 5, 1930, in Blue Hill, the son of the late Keith and Leah (Abram) Goodkowsky. Karl served in the National Guard. For many years, he worked at Eastern Fine Paper in Brewer. Karl also traveled and did construction work. He was a member of the Heart to Heart Volunteers in Bangor. Karl enjoyed working with wood. He loved spending time visiting with his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Karl V. Goodkowsky and wife, Sandra, of Holden, Michele Goodkowsky of Wiscasset, Paris L. Hammond Sr. of Addison and David L. Perry of Cherryfield; grandson, Evan Goodkowsky; several step-grandchildren; brother, Milton R. Goodkowsky and wife, Lynn, of Massachusetts; two sisters, Vicki Spearing of Bangor and Paula Hennessy of Kennebunk; several nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosamond (Perry) Goodkowsky, in 1998; and a son, Kevin Goodkowsky. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004 at the Mailey Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
