HANCOCK – Katherine C. Dolliver, 88, died June 17, 2005, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born May 26, 1917, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Albert V. and Alice M. (Coulter) Conary. Katherine was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, of Blue Hill. She and her late husband Richard W. “Dick” Dolliver were resident caretakers for 19 years at the Black House in Ellsworth. They were married for 64 years before Dick’s death in June of 2003. Katherine enjoyed entertaining her friends in her home. She enjoyed dancing and music and had it playing all the time. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy D. Wood and husband, Edwin, of Old Lyme, Conn. and Jane D. McMullen and husband, Stephen, of Lamoine; four grandchildren, Michael Wood and wife, Molly, of Talkeetna, Alaska, Steven Wood and wife, Sharon, of East Lyme, Conn. and Beth and Richard McMullen, of Lamoine; and many special friends. Katherine was predeceased by her parents and her husband. Friends are invited to call 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth, with the Rev. David Henry presiding.
