MILFORD – Gabrielle M. Marcoux, 72, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord, June 17, 2005, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born in St. Come, Quebec, the daughter of Lucien and Aurora (Poulin) Routhier. After retiring from the University of Maine, Mrs. Marcoux enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family. She was a devoted member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, in Bradley. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Robert W. Marcoux Sr.; five children, Marie Whitcomb and her husband, George, Cynthia Paschal and her husband, Keith, Christine Gwinner and her fianc?, David Sluka, Robert Marcoux Jr. and his wife, Sue, Sandra Vilasuso and her husband, Ronald; eight grandchildren, Tina Ellis, Jamie Paschal, Jarod Paschal and his wife, Jessica, Amy Gwinner, Marissa Marcoux, Daniel Vilasuso, Ashlee Vilasuso, Matthew Marcoux; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Davis and Stevie Paschal; two sisters, Dorothy Turmelle, Denise Moholland; two brothers, Arthur Routhier, Gerard Routhier; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, Old Town Chapel, 205 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Kearns, pastor celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
