EASTHAM, Mass. – Katherine Gross Macdonald Walker, 86, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, in Pleasant Bay Nursing Home in Brewster, Mass., after a long illness. Mrs. Walker was born in Lewiston. She graduated from Bates College in 1939 and received her master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maine, Orono in 1968. She was the wife of Dr. George R. Walker for 34 years. She and her husband lived in East Dennis and Eastham since 1972. She was also the wife of the late Dr. Donald F. Macdonald for 25 years. She was a school psychologist for the Dennis-Yarmouth School District and taught psychology at Cape Cod Community College. She was past president of the Junior League and The Good Samaritan Home in Bangor. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Orleans, Mass. Surviving are two sons, Robert Macdonald of Barrington, N.H. and William Macdonald Esq. of Holden and Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Jane Caruso of Conyers, Ga. and Judith Fueyo Ph.D. of Eastham, Mass. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Macdonald Jr. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Scott Walker of East Dennis, Mass. and Carol Byram of Bangor; a sister, Rose Gross of Wellfleet, Mass.; and brother, John Gross of Boca Raton, Fla. She was predeceased by her brother, William Gross Jr. She is survived by 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
