After a lengthy hospital stay, Katy attended special education classes in Hampden. She graduated from Hampden Aca-demy in 1991, with her younger sister, Georgia. Even though she was in a wheelchair and on oxygen, Katy traveled extensively with her mom and dad. She made two trips to California, several to Florida, and too many to count to Nashville, Tenn. Katy also made several trips to Charlottesville, Va. Katy loved her family who called her “Babs,” “Kate the snake from Alabama,” “Main Squeeze,” or “Big Sissa.” Katy attended numerous country music concerts and loved going to Nashville to the Grand Ole Opry and Fan Fair. She was lucky enough to see her favorite singer, Randy Travis three times in concert and got to meet him backstage in 2000. She is survived by her parents, George W. Jr. and Evelyn (McKenney) White of Winterport; her sisters, Sarah Cote and Jason Emerson of Bangor, Amy Littlefield and her husband, Pat, of Hermon, Georgia Palmer and her husband, Chris, of Winterport, Noreen Schmidt and her husband, Fred, of Traverse City, Mich.; her nieces and nephews, Shelby, Logan, Katy-Lee, Patrick, Miranda, Trevor, Johnny, Jade, Trent, Breanna, Midori, Corben and Kyle; her grandfather, Horace A.
