ST. DAVID – Kathleen Michaud, 47, won her battle with cancer, Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, going home to Jesus who won the victory over sin, death, and hell for her. Kathleen was born Feb. 10, 1958, and born again in 1979. Her date of departure into eternity was exactly two years to the day of that of her biological mother, Cecile Gervais, that being September 28. Kathleen has been healed of her cancer, delivered from her torment, and has gone forth into eternity, with salvation being her reward by the grace of God. She was also predeceased by her parents, Freeman and Emily Dumond Feb. 28, 1981 and July 14, 1999 respectively. Also, by a nephew, Brian Gervais Feb. 7, 2000; and one brother-in-law, Herme Bernier in 2001. She is survived by her husband, Jim Michaud of St. David, and her daughter, Kassandra, who was her life’s love. Also surviving Kat are siblings, Antoinette, of Hartford, Conn. and her companion, Andre’, Raynald and his wife, Isabel, of Sanford, Noella and Aline Bernier of Caswell and Aline’s husband, Lanes. Survivors from the immediate area include brothers, Roy, Leo “Doc”, and Jerry, all of St. David as well as their wives, Sharon, Sherry and Lisa respectively. She also leaves her dear sister, Shirley Cyr and her husband, Clifford, of Frenchville. Surviving nieces and nephews include Carlene, Pac, Glen and Scott Gervais, Mike, Mitchell, Dale, Morgan, Megan, Britny, Jake and Emily Dumond, Nick and Lindsey Cyr, Angela Ouellette, Rodney, Joseph and Keith Bernier, Paula Hanchett and Amy St. Peter. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Madawaska Gospel Church. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 2 p.m. until time of services on Saturday. Interment will be in the Christian Cemetery in St. David. “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Malachi 4:2)
