HANCOCK – Kathleen V. (Jordan) Walker, 76, died Aug. 24, 2006, surrounded by her family at home. She was born Dec. 21, 1929, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Hallet N. and Geneva (Dunton) Jordan. Kay “Katie” enjoyed many years working at Unity Raceway. In her earlier years she worked as a cook assistant at Hancock Grammar School and worked as an aide at Maplecrest Nursing Home. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara and her husband, John Logan, of Hancock; and a son, Walter Walker of Shenandoah, Va.; grandchildren, James Logan and wife, Angela; and great-granddaughter, Georgianna, Johnny Jay “Chip” Logan and wife, Kara Logan, Tonya (Logan) Worcester and husband, Paul, all of Hancock, Lisa (Walker) Bowden and husband, Donny; and great-grandchildren, Courtney and Jacob of Blue Hill, Matthew Walker and wife, Rhonda, of Springfield, Va.; a special friend of the family, Richard Batman of Shenandoah, Va.; and siblings, Ruth Coombs of Trenton, Hallet “Bussy” Jordan Jr. and wife, Maria and Frederick Jordan and wife, Leni, all of Aurora, Colo., and Roy Jordan of Ellsworth. She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Neil Walker Jr.; and sisters, Dorothy Wright and Bertha Lord. Memorial service will be held 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at Family Bible Church, Ellsworth, where a time of fellowship will be held after with the family and friends.
