PRESQUE ISLE – Kathleen Vivian Simpson, wife of the late Dana Albert Simpson, died Aug. 28, 2006, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was born May 29, 1930, in Washington County, to the late Mae (Antone) Hanson Leighton and Edward Daniel Hanson. Mrs. Simpson is survived by three sons, Eric Simpson of New Hampshire, Dana Peters of Tennessee and Steven Ham-mond of Ashland. She also had many brothers and sisters, Daniel Hanson, Nin Hanson, Edward Hanson, Doug Hanson, Melvin Hanson, Colleen Huckins, Marguerite Graham, Joyce Willette, Barbara Bonville, Lavina Thomas, Anna Hamilton and Shirley Day. She had nine grandchildren, 14 great-grand-children, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services to be held 3 p.m. Sept. 4, at Fairmont Cemetery, Presque Isle.
