COREA – Kathleen Y. Worcester, 72, passed away Oct. 8, 2004, at the Courtland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Facility in Ellsworth. She was born Nov. 26, 1931, in Corea, the daughter of the late Sheldon and Ruth (Tucker) Young. Kathleen enjoyed painting, playing the organ, sewing, and redecorating. She was an excellent cook and housekeeper. Kathleen devoted her life to taking care of her family and was a very loving mother and “Nanna”. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Alvin B. Worcester Jr., of Corea; daughter, Kelley Russell and husband, Roland, of Brewer; son, Keith Worcester and wife, Cheryl, of Holden; son, Alvin Worcester III and wife, Janet, of Bangor; son, Benjamin Sevrance and wife, Sandra, of Hollis Center; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three nephews and their spouses, special friend and cousin, Kathy Hargraves; special friends, Barbara Redburn, Marjorie Brown, Nat Dunbar and husband, Ray, Vic and Jeanne Wilson, Shirley and Bill Hall, Arlene Bridges, and many more friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Young; and a sister-in-law, N?elle Young. Kathleen’s family would like to give a very special thank you to Courtland Rehab for all of their care and kindness. A graveside service will be held on 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Cherryfield. Officiated by the Rev. Joyce Ingrisano.
