CARROLL PLANTATION – Evelyn J. Walker, 87, died Oct. 9, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Dec. 2, 1916, in Bergen County, N.J., the daughter of Maximillian and Emma (Fell) Silberbauer. Evelyn had been employed by the telephone company and was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers. She was a member of the Springfield Community Chapel. She enjoyed doing crafts, reading and doing crossword puzzles, but the light of her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Debra and Dan Gilone, of New Jersey, Joan and Edward Lukacik, of Carroll Plt., and Sandra and Norman Mansfield, of Colorado; five grandchildren, Dawn, Kim, Barbara, Brian and David; three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Sean and Brenda; a sister, Althea and her husband, Brad Lethbridge, of New Jersey; a brother, Al Silberbaur and his wife, Dotty, of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Springfield Community Chapel, Springfield, with Pastor Bruce Swan officiating. Interment will be in Springfield Village Cemetery.
