HOULTON – Donald W. Nealey, 88, died Oct. 7, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1916, at Houlton, the son of Fernand C. and Eva G. (Nickerson) Nealey. Donald was awarded the Eagle Scout Award in 1934 and was Scout Master for several years. He was a hamm radio enthusiast, liked to go camping, fishing, hunting, and working in photography for many years. Donald was a life member of the Monument Lodge of Masons No. 96, Commandry Chapter of the Anah Temple Shrine, the Town and Country Senior Citizens and the RSVP of Aroostook. He is survived by his wife, Ethelyn G. (Bither) Nealey of Houlton; one son, Robert Nealey and his wife, Helen, of Beverly, Mass.; two daughters, Doris S. Richardson and her husband, Charles, of Starksboro, Vt., Joyce Gordon and her husband, Harold, of Orrington; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Bette Ann Scerra; his sisters, Marion Abell; and his brother, Everett Nealey. Friends may call 1 p.m. Monday at the Dunn Funeral Home until the time of service at 2 p.m. with a Masonic Service given by the Monument Lodge of Masons No. 96 and the Rev. Arthur Myers officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Gifts may be made in Donald’s memory to the Masonic Hall or charity of one’s choice, care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton, ME 04730.
