BUCKSPORT and CHICAGO Kathryn Marie Wingate, beloved daughter of Scott and Michelle Wingate, departed this world unexpectedly Sept. 29, 2007. Katie, a 1998 graduate of Bucksport High School, previously attended the University of Bristol, England, and was, at the time of her death, residing in Chicago. Katie is survived by her parents; sisters, Jennifer and Amy-Noelle Wingate of Bucksport and Courtney Wingate Parker of Swanville; brothers, Justin of Bucksport and Jordan of West Lafayette, Ind. Katie, with her quick and magical smile, keen wit and loving ways will be exceedingly missed by family and friends spanning the globe. Family and friends will gather for visitation 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father James Plourde as celebrant, with interment immediately thereafter at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery. A reception at the church will be held after. A scholarship in her name will be established and contributions may be sent to Seaboard FCU, P.O. Box G, Bucksport, ME 04416.
