GLENBURN – Kenneth Hamilton Johnson, 74, died June 21, 2004, at a Bangor Hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Brewer, the son of Harold J. and Frances (Quimby) Johnson. Kenneth was a former member of the Maine Army National Guard. He was employed at Eastern Fine Paper of Brewer, and Great Northern Paper of East Millinocket. He was known as “Emma Johnson” at Eastern Fine and “Magic Johnson” at Great Northern. He was a member of the Brewer Eagles Club. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Geraldine (Clewley) Johnson; three sons, Dan Johnson, Terry Clewley and Steven Clewley, all of Glenburn; one sister, Maxine Fitz of Glenburn; one brother, William H. Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Idella “Bunny” (Robbins) Johnson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Cora Johnson, and John and Marjorie Johnson; one sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Leo DeRoche. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Adam Soderberg, pastor of the East Orrington Congregational Church, officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Birch Grove Cemetery, Glenburn.
