LINCOLN – Kenneth Harold Ryder, 67, passed away May 3, 2005, at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln. He was born March 5, 1938, in Lincoln, the son of Walter and Maisie (Grass) Ryder. He attended Lincoln schools and went on to enlist with the Army. He was called to active duty and served as an M.P. Upon his return to Lincoln, he worked at Lakeside Lanes and went on to work for many years at Lincoln Pulp and Paper. He worked at Broadway Lanes until it closed. He then worked for Irving until he became disabled. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Avery Ryder of Lincoln; daughters, Brenda and Garnet Raymond of Lee, Cindy and Kent Oliver of Lincoln, Wanda and John White of Carroll, Beth and Rick Hill of Lincoln, Joan and Keith Makela of Bangor; sons, Dale Murphy and Seth Ranco of Bangor; one sister, Shirley Rae Lenz of Wisconsin; his 13 grandchildren, one special grandson, Eric Ryder, Lacy-Jo Van Alstyne, Steven and Nickolas Camp, John White Jr., Mark “Bub” Murphy, Kelsy-Jo and Kayla Rae Oliver, Brittany Ranco, Rusty Raymond, Ken-Lee Hill, Sebastion and Katana Makela; special family members include his in-laws, Joyce Shorey, Tonya McGowan, Adam Kimbell; VFW Members, his Brothers in Arms, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Clanton, William and Phillip; and three sisters, Louise, Peggy Lou and Betty. He will be sadly missed by everyone who loved and knew him. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with the Rev.
