GREENVILLE – Leona F. Lamb, 91, died May 2, 2005, at the C.A. Dean Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born Aug. 15, 1913, in Charleston, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Jordan and Delila (Ketch) Prosser. She worked for the Hilton family for many years as a housekeeper, both in Greenville and in Florida. She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Newton Porter; and her second husband, William Lamb. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Beatrice Laskey, and Joyce Whitney both of Greenville, Gertrude Rouviere of Damariscotta, and Wallace Rockwell of Brooklin. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2005, at the American Legion Hall in Greenville with the Rev. Thomas Kirkman, officiating. There will be a time of visitation at the Legion Hall, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery, later in the spring.
