MATTAWAMKEAG – Kenneth L. Skidgell, 74, died May 3, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born March 27, 1930, in Abbot, the son of Benjamin and Margaret (Greene) Skidgell. Kenneth enjoyed working on tractors and he was in the Navy. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Mona Skidgell of St. Cloud, Fla. and Newport; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Millard, Harland, Maurice, Oliver and Sterling; one sister, Vivian “Topsy.” Kenneth is also survived by very special friends, Thornton Austin, Bion Tolman, and Tom and Sharon Vermillion and family. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the funeral home, with the Rev.
