SEARSPORT and ORRINGTON – Kenneth R. Morin, 88, passed away March 15, 2008, at Stillwater Healthcare Facility, Bangor. He was born Oct. 31, 1919, the son of Wilfred and Hazel (Newton) Morin. Kenneth graduated from Brattleboro High School, Brattleboro, Vt. He served in the Army-Air Force from 1942 to 1946, where he received the World War II Victory Medal, along with the American Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Kenneth retired from the U.S Postal Service after 32 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjory, in 2005, after 58 years of marriage together; along with his brothers, Wilfred and Bernard. Kenneth is survived by his son, Todd Morin and fianc?e, Evelyn, of Bradley; a sister, Shirley Bunting of Ocean City, Md.; two grandchildren, Christy Merrithew and husband, Adam, and Kyle Morin, both of Brewer; great-grandchild, Hunter Merrithew; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held noon Friday, March 21, at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
