HERMON – Kenneth U. Day III, 44, died unexpectedly Jan. 2, 2008, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born Nov. 8, 1963, in Bangor, the son of Kenneth U. Day Jr. and Joyce M. (Dalessio) Day. Ken was a graduate of Bangor High School, Class of 1982. He became employed with Hannaford Supermarkets, a job he held for 28 years. He was also employed with A.C. Moore. Skip was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, camping, four-wheeling, snow-mobiling and hiking, all he enjoyed with his family, including his loyal dog, Copper. Ken was predeceased by his mother, Joyce (Dalessio) Day. Surviving are his father, Kenneth U. Day Jr. and wife, Linda; Ken’s beloved wife of 20 years, Pam (Jellison) Day; his two sons, Bryan and Daniel, all of Hermon; a sister, Amy Collins and her husband, Roger Collins Jr., of Hudson; two nephews, Elliott and Caleb; his grandmother, Evelyn Day of Bangor; aunt, Mary Day Metcalf and her husband, Hank, of Orono; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ted and Bonnie Jellison of Brewer; three brothers-in-law, Ted Jellison and his wife, Deborah, of Brewer, David Jellison and Mark Jellison and his wife, Jen, all of South Portland; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
