MADAWASKA – Lilly C. McInnis, 93, died Jan. 4, 2008, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born Aug. 28, 1914, in North View, Victoria County, Canada, the daughter of Harry and Ester (Wheelhouse) Morgan. Lilly was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, Edmundston, New Brunswick, and had been active in coterie for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, John B. McInnis, March 18, 1991; two sisters, Elizabeth MacElveny and Nellie Flannigan; one brother, William Morgan; and one granddaughter, Jean Morin. She is survived by one daughter, Muriel and her husband, Geo-rge C. Nelson, of Madawaska; three sons, John McInnis and his wife, Sylvia, of Madawaska, Robert McInnis and his wife, Norma, of The Villages, Fla., and William McInnis of Sebago Lake; eight grandchildren, Richard and wife, Betty Nelson, and their children, Tiffany, Crystal and Carl, Muriel Fay Douglass and her daughter, Fay, June and husband, William Mayfield, and their children, Desaree and Shawn, Gail and husband, Kirk Johnson, and their daughter, Jessica, Diane Cyr and her children, Mark and Laurie, Carol and husband, Julien Morency, and their children, Christine and Janice, Robert Morin and his children, Crystal and Kathleen, Kim and husband, Jake Martin, and their son, Gavin. Lilly had six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Daigle Funeral Home. Friends and family may call 1 p.m. until the time of service 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at United Church Cemetery, Edmundston, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lilly’s memory may be made to Hospice of Aroostook.
