EDINBURG – Kenneth W. Sellars, 75, husband of Erma (Whitney) Sellars, died July 2, 2006, at a Lincoln hospital after a long and courageous, eight-year battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 26, 1930, in Springfield, the son of Lewis and Evelyn (Tucker) Worster. Ken was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War from 1950-1954. He served on the U.S.S. Charles R. Ware DDS 865. He was a member of Tin Can Sailors-National Association of Destroyer Veterans, a member of American Legion Post No. 77 and a member of VFW Post No. 1438. He retired from Lincoln Pulp and Paper and worked for the Bangor Daily News. Ken was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and was a special friend to all. In addition to his wife, Erma, he is survived by a son, Wayne Sellars of Pell City, Ala.; three daughters, Wanda Pond and David of West Enfield, Shelly Sellars and Sharon Nelson, both of Lincoln; two stepsons, Mark and Debbie Savage of Lamoine, Brent Savage of Howland; a stepdaughter, Gladys and Yves Gagnon of Brewer; a sister, Patricia Larrabee of Gardiner; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, and two great-stepgrand-children. He was predeceased by a baby daughter, Evelyn; as well as his adopted parents, Charlie and Agnes Sellars. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
