KEVIN ALAN MAHON HERMON – Kevin Alan Mahon, 34, passed away Sept. 24, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born May 19, 1974, in Bangor, the beloved son of James and Carolyn (Glidden) Mahon. Kevin graduated from St. John’s Catholic School and John Bapst Memorial High School. He attended the University of Maine at Farmington. He worked at Eastern Fine Paper for several years. When the mill closed, he trained at Eastern Maine Community College to become an operating room surgical technician. He was employed at Eastern Maine Medical Center for the last three years. Kevin was very proud of his work at the mill and hospital, and always wanted to do his best. He was loved and respected beyond belief by his co-workers and everyone who knew him. He had a terrific sense of humor, was an excellent cook and loved sports of all kinds. He played hockey, basketball and baseball throughout his school years. Kevin is survived by his best friend and fianc?e, Susan Meade. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kendra Mahon Overlock; and brother-in-law, Kevin Overlock. He loved his two special nieces, Olivia and Ainsley Overlock, his goddaughter; many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be sadly missed by his “best bud” dog, Odin. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life 5-8 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Interment will be in the family lot at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the Bangor Humane Society or All Saint’s Catholic School, Bangor.
