PLYMOUTH – Kevin Richard Braley, 42, passed away peacefully March 3, 2005, at his residence surrounded by family and friends. He was born Dec. 25, 1962, at Bangor a son of Carl and Helen (Roberts) Braley. Kevin graduated from Nokomis Regional High, Class of 1981. After graduating, he went to work with his father for the E. N. Nason Company in Newport. As a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 4, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and welder for Lane Construction Company for 12 years. He also owned and operated Quality Small Engine in Plymouth. He was also a self employed welder, and most recently worked for Newport Industrial Fabricators. His passion was motorcycling, snowmobiling, and spending time with his boys. As a frequent winner in Moto-Cross racing competitions, he became known in the racing circuit as “Crazy Kevin Braley”. He was a member of the Plymouth Snowmobile Club. Kevin was predeceased by his father, Carl; and brother, Timothy. In addition to his mother of Plymouth, he is survived by two sons, Zachary, 16, and Dalton 12, both of Carmel; a sister, Penny (Braley) Demmons of Levant; two brothers, Larry and Robert, both of Plymouth; a special friend, Linda Paige of Westbrook; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Following the memorial service, the celebration of Kevin’s life will continue at his Condon Road residence. Spring interment will be in the Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Main Street, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
